The “regardless of whether the extension ultimately takes effect” clause. This is the biggest trapdoor. The rules explicitly state:
If a qualifying agreement is officially reached before the resolution date, this market will resolve to “Yes,” regardless of whether the ceasefire extension ultimately takes effect.
So the market resolves Yes based on the announcement of an agreement, not on whether fighting actually stops. The parties could announce an extension, violate it immediately, and the market would still resolve Yes.
