Waaait for it! Oil prices understate Iran war risks, IEA chief warns [link removed]

Not the right place for this I think, but since some of the people dearest to me live in Iran, I have to weigh in. You should know that Iranians biggest fear is that Israel will stop their campaigns and leave them alone with their islamist occupiers that want to erase them and their culture. Yes, really. Most voices you hear from Iran now are either openly or covert islamist regime, because of selective internet blackout. You may have a point about Gaza, but I think it's way more complicated than the way you frame it. Israelis are defending themselves. Too heavy handed it seems, but that's easy for us to say. Seeing how media have a leftist bias with Iran conflict that I know much better have honestly made me reconsider my impression of Gaza. Honestly I don't know enough. Respectfully, I don't think you do either. Lebanon need help to get rid of Hezbollah. They've brought nothing but misery and destruction for many years. Seems to me most Lebanese hate their fucking guts. Not saying they love Israel, but hey, don't you think Lebanese have a right to use their democracy freely, and make decisions on their future, including how to deal with Israel without being constantly threatened and meddled with by Iran via Hezbollah? The fact that if you'd remove Hezbollah, Israel probably wouldn't be a problem to deal with, answers that question imo. Happy to take the discussion somewhere else if you'd like.

Yes they won ๐ ๐
2026-04-26 12:05:01
Three reasons YES is extremely cheap, imo: 1. Reza Pahlavi has big cojones. He successfully completed the rigorous program and earned his certification as a jet fighter pilot at Reese Air Force Base, Texas. 2. He has said , multiple times that he will return. "I too am preparing to return to the homeland so that at the time of our national revolution's victory, I can be beside you, the great nation of Iran. I believe that day is very near." - Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi [link removed] 3. Israel has said they will take out those in charge now, in a second decapitation of the snake's head. If it's not more of worm than snake already, it for sure will be now.

the f you talking bout, geologically? You mean geographically? Or are the rocks like, too slippery to defend? Anyway, considering all the things IRGC & co have said the US and Israel won't be able to do, but then they did exactly those things, I wouldn't take their word for it. But, your opinion Sir... I'm listening ๐ซก Please give me a quick walkthrough of your geo-survey ๐
2026-05-15 17:24:50
Listen kid, all contracts in here goes either up or down, at any given moment. If that makes you 5x ๐คฃ several times over, you honestly come across as mentally challenged. You're like the special needs kids that watch escalators at the mall and find them hysterically funny. Like Every. Single. Step. And what's even worse you haven't even put your money in this yourself! It's too sad to be funny. Put the cheezeballs down, young man and go out, get some fresh air and touch some grass.

1. The graph on portwatch doesn't show tankers by default, but tankers are indeed included in the rules. I assume lot of bets are based on what they see in graph at first glance 2. When ships start to get escorted in convois they will sail with their transponders on because half the point will be to signal strength and security. So, 10-20 is amazingly cheap imo. 20-40 is also kinda cheap. When shit starts to move successfully, a lot of ships are eager to get going. I'd love to hear where all you 0-10'ers think I'm wrong

Irrelevant academics who love Palestine, Hamas and IRGC or whoever else that say they are an enemy of USA will put normal people off is my guess. Had they managed to come up with one normal candidate, they'd win - easy. But they're looking for someone that is the most opposite of Trump. Ridiculous strategy.
2026-05-26 17:32:05
Trump convenes Camp David cabinet meeting. The day Iran tried to lay mines and got blown up. One day after strikes on IRGC commanders in Iraq AND in Bandar Abbas, Iran. But, the peace talks are going GREAT. Just like they did on February 27th. And right before Operation Midnight Hammer ๐
2026-05-27 02:26:48
If the premise is that irgc only lay mines to blow up civilian tankers, you may be right, but the legal use of sea mines is to actually target military vessels. Hence the claim of self-defense from us navy, from what I understand. If they actually just blew up a random boat, that would be a war crime and shameful seamanship of course. Idk, but I do know that the IRGC beats even trump in lying and spinning stories. They have no love for real Iranians and vice versa. They only love money, power and some true believers obsesses about this twelfth imam that will return to end tyranny and oppression. The joke is too obvious to point out.
2026-06-10 17:01:10
" oh, chicken taco" "oh, Trump is so bad and aggressive" "oh, the Trump administration is much worse than the IRGC "" oh, the civilians in suffers from US and Israeli attacks and rallies around the flag" " oh the IRGC are brilliant and they're winning " The left is hopefully peaking in stupidity levels very soon or the only humane thing will be to medicate them.
2026-06-10 17:16:31
When the journalist asked Trump about " the gay ayatollah" and he didn't even flinch ๐ He had definitely asked her to ask that to fck even more with the sore little feelings of the IRGC brass. Just like when he said praise Allah. Brilliant!
2026-06-16 11:40:26
Let's forget that the IRGC are imploding as we speak. Let's forget that Trump and BIBI are toying with the IRGC and there won't be a peace deal. They still have just 5% of the population supporting them. Active support is way less. Now, 10 million civilian Iranians has weapons training. There are approximately 6 million civilian firearms in Iran. Most in rural areas. After January massacre, a lot of those weapons has surely found their way to the cities. AND US has openly said they will arm opposition. AND kurds, balouchis and other minorities has cross-border networks with well armed organizations in Pakistan, Turkey and Iraq. AND Artesh, the proper military whose mission is to defend the Iranian people, not "the revolution" might turn on the IRGC at any moment. At least it's very unlikely that they will turn on the people. And the people of Iran are crystal clear. The IRGC MUST go. IRGC won't last the year. Maybe not even the summer.

Absolutely! France is by definition the best team in the world and the whole world excepts them to win. Anything else would be scandalous! As opposed to my team, Norway. It's a joke that we got to the world cup at all and a ridiculous mistake that Brazil couldn't beat us. When... I mean if Norway meet you in the finals we wouldn't stand a chance. For the best team for more than a decade to loose to Norway... No, it's impossible to even think of the consequences, the complete ruin of the french moral... Mon dieu ๐ Just messing with you. I love France. Good luck, mate!
2026-07-29 21:10:56
Aah, so this is the manipulation they talk about on prediction markets ๐ To watch this play out has equally fun and shocking๐ณ I've been real fucking naive. And now if no one disputes, the shitfucks win and if someone disputes they sit ready to fuck off on top of the shit they've created. All the while the facts of the matter are pretty much irrelevant. Have I got it right?
2026-07-29 21:17:42
Bro, y'all got my sympathy and stuff but I'm in for like $10. Doesn't it cost like a few hundred to dispute? I'm trying to buy some cheap NOs and squeeze a wee lemonade out of this motherfucker ๐
2026-07-29 21:34:36
I agree. There is no base for claiming a yes. And no one has even made a proper case for it. This is pure unadulterated manipulation, that eventually undermines the trust in the facilitator of this markets and prediction markets in general. That being said, this is an opportunity, guys. Buy NO and enjoy!
2026-07-29 22:18:54
Dispute window extended.
2026-07-29 22:35:24
"... CONFIRMED by the U.S. Government or by an overwhelming consensus of reporting." DEA doesn't confirm YES criteria at all. I think NO is pretty damn certain IF someone disputes.
2026-07-30 02:08:33
I know! Is it a miracle? Have I run into that many bigger idiots than myself? I honestly think some of them think that "proposal is usually right, so it's easy money. Don't even have to read the rules, comments or anything." Well, bless your brave hearts ๐ซก
2026-07-30 02:09:53
Unless some US law dudes start waving and firing guns in a very kinetic manner, ON LAND and tell the press about it in the next couple of days, it means I'll finally make some money on this bullshit
2026-07-30 02:13:45
Nice try mixing dates and geography. A 'maritime patrol' is not 'on the ground,' and it certainly isn't a 'kinetic strike... on foreign soil' as the rules explicitly demand. Also, the actual joint kinetic strikes in Ecuador under the coalition happened back in March. This market opened on June 17th. Sorry buddy. Read the rules, read a calendar.
2026-07-30 02:39:29
Just told my wife to get out and work those streets. And to sell our labradoodle AND the rental car, so we can put more on NO. When people start giving me money, it's probably because Jesus thinks I'm a swell guy ๐ค
2026-07-31 11:02:15
Please explain to me, what does this obvious market manipulation actually matter? Isn't this just like the sharks in poker and the stock market? They're just there, like the weather, you just have to adapt. Unless you're an prediction idealist and think it's herecy, why not take advantage and buy yourselves some sweet cheap NO's? Their play isn't to ride the YES till the very end, is it? They'll leave the suckers high and dry and sell their hollow yesses right before market close, right? I'm not being retorical, I genuinely want to understand how this schtick typically plays out.
2026-07-31 11:06:12
More mosquitos than sharks when I think about it. They ARE fucking annoying with their constant buzzing. And they suck the blood out those who aren't prepared ๐
2026-07-31 12:09:55
Yeah, I've seen people say that and tbh thought classic case of bitterness after having lost too much. But I haven't even looked into it, so I may be wrong. Can you think of any good examples? Like, anything in particular I should check out on Reddit or whatever?
2026-07-31 16:30:14
That's very hard to hear. But I must know. Was there tounge involved? Worse?
2026-08-06 08:26:24
Us will find it again. Sneaky little hobbitses mustn't steal our precious!
2026-08-21 03:01:54
Resolution Feedback: A reported claim is NOT a confirmed strike
โAttribution is not equal to Verification: Outlets like Reuters reporting that Houthis made a statement is standard attribution, not independent verification of an actual impact on Saudi soil.
โBroken Burden of Proof: Sovereign states and public entities (Aramco) routinely ignore baseline propaganda. Treating lack of a public denial as tacit confirmation flips standard verification standards upside down.
โDangerous Precedent: Without independent physical evidence (satellite imagery, FIRMS data, or verifiable damage), resolving to YES based purely on unverified militant claims turns physical event contracts into pure "press release" markets.
2026-08-21 03:20:57
Outrageous interpretation by polymarket. I honestly hope this was a case of summer internship trying to fill too big shoes and not the result of careful deliberation by polymarket's finest.
2026-08-22 06:47:00
What a tradegy and potentially a war crime. Should be avoided if possible and if mistakes or crimes have been committed, someone should pay. Hopefully the investigation will contribute to less similar tragedies in the future. If only Palestinians were allowed by Hamas to not be used as human shield, that would contribute much more to less tragic deaths of Palestinian minors. Not at all saying this was the case with little miss Rajab.
2026-08-22 06:48:00
But if the concern for children comes first and " Zionists are the worst" can come just second, it seems strange that the same outrage, effort, press coverage and political pressure on Miss Rajab's case isn't applied to Hamas.
2026-08-22 06:51:03
Where it - by farยนโฐโฐโฐ- would save the most children in Gaza from death and mutilation. Hamas' weaponization of civilian casualties and suffering in the propaganda war is a sore point and a chosen blind spot for western Palestine activists. And tbh, I think it's fucking disgusting.
2026-08-22 14:07:14
What a strange thing to say. That's not even a claim by Hamas. It's ok to just be quiet if you're stuck y'know. Opportunity to grow and all
2026-08-22 14:34:27
Are you on about how 9/11 was a psy-op? That's a rather fringe opinion and I can't tell if you're joking. This is the internet. People who eat nail polish share their opinion like it's anybody's business, so please tell me. Are you serious?
2026-08-22 15:02:24
I think Mosab Hassan Yousef who grew up as the son of a Hamas leader has interesting reflections on Palestinian vs Israeli victimhood. I can't offer you anything he doesn't deliver much better. So I urge you to give it a chance. You'll get there when you're ready. Have a great day
2026-08-23 04:57:34
How very cute of him. Fanboying IRGC is really cute for you too. Such a great look. Nothing fucked up about promoting IRGC's call to action against genocide in 2026. Don't let anyone tell you that! This is a great path you're on!
2026-08-23 12:38:18
๐ณ I think you mean "Iran is commiting mass murder and genocide while the west does NOTHING". Are you familiar with Yuri Bezmenov and his talk about "soft heads". This is highly recommended to anyone trying to understand our world today. Also, can I ask if you sometimes actively look up news sources that doesn't confirm your view, with the intention of challenging your beliefs? (And not to rage.) Do you spend time with any friends who's not online and who doesn't dedicate most of their time / spare time to the Free Palestine- thing?
2026-08-26 00:46:54
And there you go and "clam" them victims right back ๐
2026-08-29 00:35:39
Considering you don't know me, it's obvious that you don't know wtf projection even means. Still you insist on dabbling in geopolitics ๐โโ๏ธ I'm actually being real with you both. Can you please just do a quality control once a year on the bundle of opinions you've been presented by "the movement". Not for me. For you. And ask yourselves: Cui bono? Who benefit so much from you guys being loud and rude about Palestine? Who organizes that shit in hundreds of cities and campuses? Why are the placards and narratives identical? How much are local protest organizers paid and by whom? I know you'll miss the point and say "what about Palestine?", but maybe eventually it'll stick. That's all. Now, have a great fucking day and fuck the fuck off ๐
2026-08-30 23:05:42
Old: Leftists, IRGC and armchair Islamists are so relaxed and amused by how "insignificant" and "ridiculous" Pahlavi is. Still they keep tabs on him more meticulously than his biggest fans. To the extent that they now keep track of his followers on Instagram. They know the archives will open and all informants, spies and other ashghal will be exposed, like they were after communist countries in Europe collapsed in late 80's and early 90's. And that, I will enjoy ๐ฟ
