The odds for August 31 are crazy. Consider this: last time, it took up to 2 weeks for the official federal database to be updated, and only then did Google update their maps, also with a delay. Somehow, people expected it to be updated within 3 days, 2 of which are the weekend.

Even if USGS updates GNIS first thing Monday morning, there is simply not enough time to fetch the data and update Google Maps on the same day.
